The Scene
Set right on the bay with a stunning waterfront view, Ella’s On The Bay is one of those perfect traveler pit stops — whether you’re rolling up by boat, car, or bike. The vibe is friendly, the crowd is laid-back, and the atmosphere hits that “vacation mode” note just right.
The Food
We’ve stopped here plenty of times. The fish fry is consistently delicious — crispy, flavorful, and worth the trip.
That said, not every visit has been a winner. One round brought half-frozen chicken strips (yikes), and the onion rings — while decent — were way overpriced for the handful we got. Because of that, we’ve moved Ella’s from a “meal stop” to more of a “grab-a-drink-and-enjoy-the-view” kind of place.
Hick Meter
3/5 — The bay crowd brings a nice mix of locals and travelers, with a splash of small-town charm.
Attitude
5/5 — Always welcoming, friendly staff, and great service every time.
Cleanliness
4/5 — Generally very clean, even during busy times.
Bathroom Check
5/5 — Clean, private, and surprisingly nice.
Bonuses
🌊 The scenery — unbeatable views across the bay.
The Final Sip
Ella’s On The Bay nails the setting and service — it’s the kind of place you want to love. But the food can be hit or miss, and that’s what dropped the rating a notch. Still, for a drink with a view? It’s a must-stop.
3 Beers — solid vibes, stellar views, but a few cold bites. 🍺🍺🍺
